Mark 10
We are in double digits! Chapter 10 contains a very familiar story to most of us. It's commonly called the "The Rich Young Ruler." It's from this story that we get the oft' repeated verse, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingodom of God." (10:25) While I agree that it is difficult for the rich to arrange their priorities, I think verse 27 is really the moral of the story. "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

I find this week lessons most interesting. It opened my eyes atleast...
It's interesting that today's reading is about marriage (1 Cor 7). I just had a friend ask me about performing a wedding. I might have to share this verse with them when we meet to discuss whether or not I will marry them. God's plan is not always the easy way, but it is the best way. We have only to look at the cross as the best example of this.
I've thought about Mark 10:21 a lot this week. Jesus knew that the rich man was going to walk away, but He "looked at him and loved him." How awesome to know that when we mess up Jesus still looks at us with love.
Great insight. I agree.
Mark 10:43-44 talks about being a servant. Have you ever noticed that people who are lonely or bored don't know the blessings that come from serving others? Even Jesus says that He came to serve. I am thankful that our church provides opportunities to serve others.
