Christmas Chat Week 3

Reading this week's reading, a thought came to me. It took a lot of courage for Joseph to carry out his part. Other people may not have have understood what was going on.

I was thinking about how hard Joseph's role after the birth of Jesus would be. As a leader you lead by example. Can you imagine raising the Son of God? How do you teach him or discipline him? I wonder if early on Jesus knew more than Joseph?

I agree Robert. Joseph had to be an exceptional person, and he gets shorted in the attention department. While Mary accepted on faith what Gabriel told her, it was proven to her physically. For Joseph, he had no other proof except what the angel said, and yet he believed. That, to me, took an even greater measure of faith.

After Jubilee came I really related to Joseph as an adoptive dad. He is one of my favorite people in the Bible.
I've been thinking about the phrase "born again" and how that is related to our adoption as co-heirs with Christ.
