Hebrews 1
Welcome to our new series, "Faithful Words Fulfilled". This series will take us through the book of Hebrews. This New Testament book uses more material from the Old Testament than any other, hence the title of our series. You'll notice in our reading plan (available at www.fourseasonschurch.org) that there is some extra credit reading each week. If you tackle these assignments, you will have read through the book of Leviticus in addition to Hebrews when we are finished. Why Leviticus? Because Hebrews seeks to present Christ as superior to the old Levitical sacrificial system. Reading one will certainly help you understand the other. There is a wealth of wonderful insights in Hebrews and I'm excited to be studying it together. May God bless us all as we spend time in His Word.

We should be reading Psalm 45 on Valentine's Day!
It is interesting that the author of Hebrews connects this Psalm with Christ. Apart from this reference in Hebrews, I don't know that we could/would make such an application.
In Hebrews chapter 2 it says that Jesus was made a little lower than the angels (vs 7 & 9). Doesn't that contradict what we learned in Chapter 1? What am I missing?
