Way to bounce back! Lots of great discussion last week, let's keep it going. Hebrews 11 is a recounting of Israel's "Hall of Faith". We will read about some of these men and women during the week but can't cover them all. What are some of the lessons you have gleaned from these historical "witnesses" of faith?
Also, we will finish Hebrews soon. Any suggestions on what to study next?

Abraham knew that somehow he would bring Isaac back from the mountain, no matter what God ordered him to do. What if we had that kind of faith?
I was wondering, did Cain not give the best he had to the Lord, and was this the reason God accepted Abel's sacrifice, but not Cain's?
I think you are right on Bob. It has nothing to do with one sacrifice being an animal and the other fruit of the land. God simply wants the best of what we have to offer.
Reading last night about Moses' parents trusting God to protect him was reassuring. The notes in my study Bible asked if I, as a parent, trusted God to take care of my children? It also noted the importance of praying for them. As a parent, it's nice to be constantly reminded that God is with us watching, helping, and protecting our kids. We surely can't do it alone.
I agree. It is great to know God watches our children. Phillip is a great example of what God can do through Prayer. By the way, he is doing a lot better. It is great to know there is no problem too big for God!
