Hebrews 13
Well, this does it for Hebrews. It's been a fun trip. I think we are heading to Ruth next, and after that a topical study on living life in the Spirit. Take this chance to leave any parting reflections on Hebrews. Since Mother's Day is right around the corner, we can talk about how much we love our momma's too.

I like Hebrews 13:1 where it says love each other as brothers. I was thinking, when Paul talks about angels visiting people and the people unaware that they are angels, do you think angels still visit people? I don't know if that would be exciting or scary.
The Chapter in Revelation is great. I once heard Tony Evans preach on this, and he said the streets of gold would be transparent gold. That is going to be a great place
I wondered about the jewels and gold references for a long time. Then, I visited Colorado Springs, where the streets were literally paved with turquoise because it is so common there. We think of jewels and gold as the height of heights of luxury. However, the New Jerusalem will be so wonderful that things we think of now as being luxury - jewels and gold - will be common as dirt.
I think that heaven is beyond any greatness or beauty that we are capable of imagining. Streets of gold and jewels represent beauty and strength but I'm a flowers, trees, mountains and streams person, there has to be some of that too!
Back to Hebrews 13:7, 17-18. Remembering our leaders/teachers and praying for them. There are a lot of wise teachers in our congregation. I learn for you everytime we are together. This blog is a wonderful tool too to stay connected and learn throughout the week. Mike and Jeremy, you are awesome teachers and leaders whose lives truly do set an example for us to follow. Thanks to everyone and I am looking forward to our study in Ruth.
