Vision
A few years ago, we sat down as a church and outlined some things that God had laid on our hearts about what the future of Four Seasons' ministry would look like. You can read the full vision at our church website, but here is the short version. We believe in the power of prayer, intimate fellowship, diversity, using multiple campuses, children and youth ministry, helping those in need, equipping people for life, partnering with fellow believers and business as a resource for ministry. As you think about this list, perhaps for the first time (or first time in a while), what about it jumps out at you? What speaks to your heart? As we look at some major changes in the future, these values will not. In fact, the changes we are making are for the express purpose of being able to BETTER do these things. When I consider this, my heart races with joy. What is your heart feeling?

The new reading plan is posted on the church website.
When we worked on putting our vision statement together it seemed to me like it was so much "in the future". Now as I read it, it seems so much of who we are now.
A praying community--remember us discussing our desire to put this first on the list because it would be such an important part of who we are? We are a praying church.
An intimate community--no doubt about this, we are a family that loves and cares for each other very much.
The ministry at Cornerstone demonstrates so much of our vision.
I am excited about our future as we continue to work and grow together to be all that God wants us to be.
As we change, one thing I think is important. We have very good role models for the young people. I know my boys have benifited very much from being around all of you. Somehow, I feel keeping this up is important. My nephew's struggles have reinforced to me how important role models and mentors are. He does not have very many of either. This is another area we are fortunate. There is an old saying "You are who you hang around." We are fortunate to have such great people.
I like how we have all the many Bible references listed with our vision statement. That makes it clear that we seek to follow God's direction.
By the way, where is everyone?!
I'm here!
