I was just thinking, when the sheperds went to see Jesus, what did they do with their sheep?
Interesting point, Bob. I would assume that either they left one of their number in charge of the sheep (perhaps they had sheep dogs to help him) or the put the sheep in the fold. Didn't Jesus somewhere talk about the fold having a gate and the shepherd entering there?
I'd never thought about that!?!?
They probably left the youngest to watch the sheep. Like David when the his brothers and father went to the dinner to see Samuel.
